About ATARAXIA

Ataraxia Aleworks comes from the minds of Engineprenuers (Engineers by training, Entrepreneurs of necessity) Daren and Alex who have dreamt of opening their own brewery for crafting quality beer, with an emphasis on exceptional water quality, to share with their hometown of San Diego for several years… 2021 is where that dream becomes reality! 

Daren has over 12 years brewing experience and comes from one of the largest breweries in San Diego. His years of experience and dedication to quality can be tasted in every drop of beer crafted by Ataraxia. He is our Alchemist, co-founder of Ataraxia Aleworks, and our guiding light throughout our brewing process as C.O.O. (Chief Operations Officer)

Alex has been an engineer and manager in the world of IT for 12+ years with a focus on Project Management and the AGILE process. While his background is not directly related to Brewing, he has a keen eye for process improvement, efficiency, and social networking. He is our Front Man, co-founder of Ataraxia Aleworks, and C.E.O. (Chief Executive Officer)
